DESCRIPTION
Senior Manager, VAT Planning Coordinator/Controllership
Amazon operates in a number of European countries and has a great opportunity for a dynamic and experienced person to work alongside the EMEA VAT advisory team. This senior manager role will involve the set up and lead of a team supporting VAT planning in a shared service centre covering VAT technical support, the coordination of PAN European VAT advice as well as the governance and VAT controls of new business initiatives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
This is a new Amazon role to support various Amazon business and seller/customer service teams as well as liaise with internal and external business partners, including:
· Overseeing a small team deliver VAT planning activities supporting the VAT planning delivery teams;
· Leading VAT controllership activities ensuring VAT regulatory compliance and commercial alignment based on business contractual arrangements;
· Managing a small team of junior managers;
· Promoting VAT awareness, including knowledge sharing and training with respect to European VAT rules, policies and procedures.

Experience
· Ideally 12-15 years of experience in a VAT compliance/advisory role in a multinational and/or professional organization.
· Experience in a retail/marketplace environment is an advantage.
· In-house VAT experience is an advantage.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in finance, tax, accounting, or related fields with specialization in European VAT.
