Job description, responsibilities and duties
Amazon’s Design Scaled Services (DSS) team is looking for a talented, customer-focused Visual Designer (VD) to join our creative service team based in Bratislava, Slovakia. The team is responsible for designing / conceptualizing the best-in-class creative assets for online retail advertising. Our goal is to deliver intuitive and compelling designs for our Fortune-500 clients. The visual designer must have strong intrinsic design ability, typographic skills, attention to detail, and web expertise with the ability to manage multiple projects and handle large volumes of creative work.
VD should be able to independently conceptualize / ideate creative designs / campaigns, manage their own work queue, handle end-to-end design processes, it’s related tools and proactively engage managers and stakeholders as required. The designer should also seek opportunities to improve existing designs, explore solutions that require creativity while meeting deadlines and communicate the needs and trade-offs if a project is at risk.
This VD will also execute design projects that are medium to high in complexity (digital campaign designs, creating landing pages, device specific creatives, etc.) and deliver them with a clear creative direction and pixel perfection. Ability to execute designs that follow brand style guidelines and take it beyond the scope or brief is essential. The designs should be cohesive, on-brand and incorporate best practices keeping in line with the current design trends.

· Intermediate/high proficiency in design tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) and design knowledge across various platforms like desktop, tablets and mobile
· Intermediate/high proficiency in design principles like typography, composition, scale, color theory, etc. and an advance knowledge of how those principles work together
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Desire and passion to work in a fast-paced global environment
· Expert understanding of graphic design and manipulation of graphic design elements
