In supporting this growth and evolution, Amazon Finance Operations (FinOps) goal is to deliver seamless, order-to-cash processes that enable geographic and market expansion across all Amazon’s businesses, from Retail, Digital and Advertising through to AWS and Logistics, while ensuring regulatory and legal compliance. As part of this growth we now seek a Customer Obsessed, Results Driven Accounts Receivable Finance Manager to join our expanding EMEA Accounts Receivable Service team within the Program Management Office (PMO).

Responsibilities include supporting Amazon businesses growth through designing transactional workflows, supporting requirement definitions and testing of the solutions to ensure delivery is as expected and improving the customer experience.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous and demanding work environment is critical to success in this role. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter having experience with accounts receivable operational processes, demonstrate strong relationship and strategic influencing skills, expertise in large scale change management across functions and geographies. As a Subject Matter Expert, you will work with a diverse team of finance and project professionals globally and relevant Finance Technology teams to deliver ‘Best in Class’ support and services for the EMEA region from an order to cash perspective.

Primary areas of responsibility include:
- Ownership and implementation of expansions into new and emerging markets
- Partner with key counterparts across geographies to launch initiatives globally in a scalable and cost effective manner
- Develop a solid understanding of Amazon’s Finance Operations systems and processes
- Define and implement global standards for business integration program management
- Translate complex business requirements into functional designs
- Oversee comprehensive testing of systems changes and development of standard operating procedures, process documentation and performance metrics
- Manage process transitions/implementations across multiple functions and geographies
- Motivate and influence business, operational and technical teams to ensure that best practices are followed and implemented
- Proactively monitor program performance to identify, address and prevent potential issues
- Address barriers through problem solving, communication and active coordination with stakeholders
- Drive effective teamwork, communication collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities

Personality requirements and skills

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
- 5+ years of Accounts Receivable operational finance experience in a mid/large size company
- 5+ years of experience in process definition, having taken a process from concept to execution
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while dealing with high levels of ambiguity.
- Proven ability to work in a large and complex finance team through a mixed finance skill set (commercial finance, accounting, FP&A, audit, operations), preferably through international or overseas experience
- Proven ability to make decisions short term vs. long term

Preferred Qualifications
- International experience at a multinational organization a plus
- Independent and entrepreneurial style showing the ability to work with minimal direction in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- B2B industry experience a plus
- Ability to inspire others through setting strategic vision and direction within Finance Ops as well as with the Business and Finance teams we support
- Prior Accounts Receivable experience in accounting
- Certified accountant
