DESCRIPTION

The Accounts Receivable (AR) team is seeking a Bankruptcy Analyst with a strong AR and AP background to manage bankruptcies for EMEA countries. The bankruptcy Analyst will be tasked with customer/vendor investigations, reporting, and reconciliations throughout the bankruptcy life cycle. To do so, this person will leverage a multitude of data points to investigate customers and vendors that have filed for bankruptcy protection and have a relationship with Amazon. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with financial operations, accounting, legal/bankruptcy experience in EMEA.
Roles and Responsibilities

This person will be responsible for the following:
· Customer/vendor management throughout the bankruptcy life cycle, including a portfolio of customers in EMEA to collect balances accrued after the bankruptcy filing.
· Reconciling and prorating statement of accounts.
· Research and analysis across multiple systems and tools, including government sponsored court records websites.
· Managing internal and external inquiries from cross functional teams including external legal partners.
· Timely and accurate responses to questions and requests for information.
· Auditing of records across systems for parity and completeness.
· Collaborating with the Global Finance Operations team and internal business partners in NAM, LATAM, EMEA and APAC.
· Timely publish reporting weekly/monthly.
· Participate in operational excellence activities.
· Analyze processes, recommend improvements

Base pay for this position starts from EUR 1,600 gross per month and salary depends on the skills and requirements, there will be further pay components such as a sign on bonus and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Business or Accounting Degree with 2+ years of post-qualification experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or audit.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Strong investigative skills.
· Proficiency in Oracle Financials ERP & Excel
· Has demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams
· Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
· Strong interpersonal skills — including written and oral communication skills.
· Fully proficient in English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Legal or bankruptcy experience in EMEA
· Strong ability to take initiative and self-start when necessary
· Proven ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions
· Proven ability to work successfully in an ambiguous environment
