Department Manager (f/m) Electrical / Electronic Systems Development

Your Responsibilities:

• Management and further expansion of the development team for electrical systems, E/E development and integration
• Technical supervision and line management of the skill team
• Development of processes, methods and tools within the skill team
• Development of technological skills and expertise of the members on the skill team
• Contribution to project acquisition and technical support for Sales
• Assistance in project planning, provision of necessary capacities and integration of external service providers
• Technical responsibility for the projects in his/her field
• Coordination within the development network of AVL
• Cost planning and monitoring of the cost centers in his/her sphere of responsibility

Your Profile:

• Graduate of a university of technology or university of applied sciences
• Excellent knowledge of the fundamentals of the electrical/electronic systems of motor vehicles (automotive engineering, control engineering, electrical engineering or similar studies)
• Minimum of five years practical experience in the serial development of electrical/electronic systems of motor vehicles
• Good knowledge of development and quality assurance processes and methods for the development and integration of electrical/electronic systems
• Entrepreneurial thinking and acting
• Communication skills, organizational skills, teamwork skills
• Professional experience in leadership
• Self-assuredness and confidence in customer contacts
• German mother tongue ideal, or at least very good knowledge of German to lead the team in German and hold customer meetings in German
• Confidence in conducting negotiations in English

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the intended annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: EUR 85.000,--. We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
