Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
- Ensure that series production fulfills the requirements of the customer
- Support the process of continuous improvement
- Ensure the plant is prepared for the launch of a new project
- Manage and report KPIs Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Directly manage all process engineers
- Purchasing of production technology and equipment
- Support of the ERCs – engineering change requests
- Development of the production process with following outcomes:
- Definition of materials (in cooperation with engineering) esp. consumables
- Definition of the production technology (in cooperation with engineering and customer)
- Developing customer production technology where necessary
- Development of work instructions for all production processes (lamination, demoulding, tool handling, CNC machining, hand trimming/de-burring, bonding, assembly, lacquering)
- Definition of norm times - Full MIFA – materials and information flow analysis
- Keeping the work instructions and work routines up-to-date
- Computerizing the work instructions via monitors in production which load the required work instruction which contains custom content for the given operator based on his/her quality defects
- Keeping the procedures in line with HSE regulations and quality management system ISO TS 16949 - Budget creation for the process engineering department and responsible for plant CAPEX for production equipment - Updating the plant lay-out after every change - Planning, monitoring and coordination of external companies - Supporting problem solving activities

Personality requirements and skills
- Min. 8 years in a manufacturing company (preferably automotive), with min. 2 years in a managerial position.
- Min. 5 years in composites production and process environment. Both strong practical and theoretical understanding of the production technologies of Prepreg/ Autoclave, RTM and press moulding. Experience with leading process improvement changes to production technologies and setting up standard work with the aim of reducing process variability, improving quality, reducing scrap.
