Customer Service Representative (m/f) Import / Export

Your responsibilities:
  • Accurately and timely resolve customer inquiries, needs and issues while ensuring high customer satisfaction and service delivery
  • Handle carrier’s and merchant’s haulage shipments
  • Receive and validate customer orders
  • Send booking confirmation or arrival notice to customers
  • Receive booking or transport order and all necessary documents for pick-up and delivery
  • Double-check booking and release instructions
  • Arrange shipment pick-up and delivery according to customer request
  • Coordinate pick-up and delivery with ILS, rail and road providers
  • Inform customers about additional costs (if any), e.g. CPA, waiting hours, storage, demurrage, detention, damaged equipment, COD, cancelled bookings
  • Handle and coordinate disputes
  • Follow up on all requests from internal departments (ILS, MnR, Sales, Finance, Booking Desk, Cargo Readiness, etc.)
  • Work together with sales department on implementation of new business
  • Ensure a smooth transition between sales and customer service
You bring aboard:
  • Experience in the field of logistics, forwarding or shipping
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications incl. Outlook
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Customer orientation and strong interpersonal skills
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
