Senior Finance Accountant with Spanish

Nature and aim of the position
The key tasks of the holder of this position are day to day finance and accounting operations to ensure an accurate timely monthly, quarterly and year end closing and to cooperate with the other finance departments to support overall department goals and objectives.

Main duties and responsibilities:
General ledger bookings, maintaining of supporting documentation for Spanish, Portuguese and Italian entities
Month end closing tasks
Support to Accounting Manager with local GAAP compliance and accurate financial statements
Monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts
Reconciliation of internal systems (MNA, Exact)
Bank accounts booking, Intercompany invoicing
Booking and maintaining accruals on a monthly basis
Support with VAT reporting and tax compliance
Monthly reconciliations and checks following Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
Other finance related tasks based on ad-hoc organizational needs
Propose improvement of systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
Administrative support to management

Reporting and collaboration:
Senior Financial Accountant reports directly to the Accounting Manager. The position requires collaboration within the accounting team, controllers/analysts, AP/AR, external consultants (auditors), external contractors.
