Senior Data Scientist

Placense is seeking a strong Data Scientist for joining a team of highly talented R&D professionals, who help businesses understand the connection between people’s behavior and physical locations, by turning data from mobile apps into aggregated and anonymized insights. We apply proprietary machine learning techniques for predicting the quantity and quality of people visiting a given location at a given time. These include metrics such as visit frequencies, visit duration, customer journey paths, customer distribution to gender, age, income levels, modes of transport, and other related socio-demographic characteristics.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will take part and serve as an authority in the company's research, analysis and development activities.

Responsibilities

- Master the different data sets in the company, and the value they can provide to customers.
- Communicate with various stake holders across the company, gather and translate business requirements to data related activities and processes.
- Perform research and analysis tasks for generating information and insights for prospects and customers.
- Develop our platform’s algorithms processing layer.

Requirements

- Second degree in Computer Science/Statistics/Mathematics or related field from known university.
- 8+ years of experience in statistics, algorithms and data science, specifically in Python and relevant libraries - Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, etc.
- Knowledge and proven experience in SQL, specifically in high data volume environments.
- Strong analytical abilities, technical orientation and exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Excellent English communication skills – spoken and written.
