SW Development Engineer – Java/J2EE (ICS), Prague

Czech branch of Gemalto is looking for appropriate candidates for the position of

SW Development Engineer – Java/J2EE

Job description:
* Responsible for design, implementation and integration of software and hardware components
* Producing all the documentation related to these activities
* Deployment of the complete solution on customer premises worldwide
* You may be also involved in pre-sales activities (technical assistance to sales team, giving technical workshop to customer)

Requirements:
* University graduate (Bc.) in Information Technology or Computer Science
* Very good level of English
* At least 3-4 years experience in programming (SW Development)
* Very good knowledge of Java and J2EE (EJB, JPA or Spring, Hibernate, GWT)
* Knowledge of Web technologies and applications servers (HTTP, HTML, XML, JSP/Servlet, JavaScript, SOAP, Jboss, GlassFish, WebSphere…)
* Good knowledge of database servers - SQL (MS SQL, MySQL), Oracle (PL/SQL)
* To have the potential to be a technical leader
* Customer oriented
* Autonomous and creative
* Team working and good communication skills
* Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
* Willing to travel on business abroad (1-2 weeks/month) for workshops, integration and deployment in customer premises (occasionally, short/medium duration)

Advantage:
* Working knowledge of second programming language C# (C/C++, Python,...)
* Basic knowledge of cryptography (symmetric, asymmetric, PKI ...)
* Knowledge on smart card, smart card personalization, smart card usage, PC/SC
* Biometric technology (mainly fingerprint) experience
