Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
The candidate will be responsible for analysis of multiple sources of data which has to be homogenized within the GVM database. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining various queries and reports specific to functions that are performed within Global Vendor & Sales Enablement. This may be related to inventory automation to third party companies, automation of purchase orders, cost savings initiatives, internal needs of the department or executive requested reports. The candidate will work closely with US based existing development team. Work may include working with external vendor interfaces to review their performance and find cost savings as it relates to equipment maintenance expense.
Existing GVM platform is Microsoft SQL based therefore candidate must have superior MS SQL knowledge to support following tasks:
• Reviewing query performance and optimizing code/queries
• Writing queries used for front-end applications (websites, desktop applications, or cloud apps)
• Designing and coding database tables to store the application’s data
• Data modeling to visualize database structure
• Creating database procedures for automation, e.g., automatic reporting and email notifications
• Creating table indexes to improve database performance
• Programming views, stored procedures, and functions
