Job Description

As a Statutory Financial Statements Compliance Manager, you are responsible for the timely and accurate submission of the Financial statements (both requiring and not requiring external auditor opinion) and all other legal, non-tax related required information for a group of European entities.

You will be responsible for the planning of the statutory audit work and the other information to be submitted to authorities in accordance with legal requirements and the communication of this planning both internally and externally.

You will be the first point of contact for all queries from external auditors in relation to Statutory Financial Statements for the entities under his/her scope that require an external audit.

You will build up an extensive understanding of the business in each of the countries under his/her scope to translate external queries toward different internal stakeholders.

Scope

  • Number of Entities: 6-7 (France/Italy and some smaller countries) (mix of countries may vary depending on organizational changes)
  • Business units: Pallets, Automotive, Pallecon

Measures

  • In time submission of correct Fin Statements and other legal required statistical information
  • Internal stakeholder satisfaction

Major/Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for timely submission of correct Financial Statements for his/her entities
  • Responsible for timely submission of the other legal required statistical information for his/her entities
  • You will coordinate the planning of the statutory audit work and the other legal information in accordance with legal requirements and the communication of this planning both internally and externally for his/her entities

Who are we looking for:
Must-haves

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Accounting, preferably using the SAP Inventory module.
  • Experienced in Financial statements preparation in a multinational organization.
  • Experienced in dealing with internal and external auditors
  • Experienced in Financial Statements approval processes
  • Excellent technical accounting skills

Nice to have

  • Very good knowledge of IFRS
  • Very good knowledge of Countries in scope Local GAAPS
  • Proactive, strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Team-work oriented
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in Excel, email and various PC based software
