Angelcam is an Open Video Application and Integration Platform. It does not say much to you till you are fully involved, does it? OK, let’s put it more in the human language: We are a startup changing the purpose of security cameras. Cameras now record everything they “see”, however are not able to tell what is happening. Someone has to watch the footage. Thus with the video analytics and computer vision, we are on a mission to make network cameras smarter and streaming live video and audio simpler.

We also launched the world's first app-store for advanced computer vision and video analytics apps (imagine the iTunes app store of music). We are creating one and is open for developers, like Apple’s App Store or Google Play, for video analytics already containing apps such as TimeLapse, People/Cars Counting, Smoke Detection or Heat Maps. All running securely in the cloud. With no need to invest in infrastructure by our customers.

With customers in 150+ countries we are truly global. We are based in Europe (Czech Republic: Prague, Brno) and US (CA & PA) and planning expand more. We are close and want to be closer to our customers. This gives you much more opportunities compared to companies based locally.

The Team
We are team full of passionate and enthusiastic developers, who really believe in what we work at and are bringing different experience from other startups and well-know companies such as Google, CSFD.cz or SUN Microsystems / Oracle. You can learn from us as well as teach us. The atmosphere is very friendly, opened. CEO, Petr Ocasek
Petr is an entrepreneur, who, except Angelcam, founded Node5 (an incubator for startups) and StartupYard (a seed accelerator for technology startup) and visionarist, who appreciates innovative ideas that would help us reach our goals. He always provide a space for you to create use cases, new projects, bring new ideas, suggestions, technologies, and much more. Petr really does not like micromanagement :) Except that, he endorses people who are self-educators, enthusiastic about developing their skills further and bringing additional value to the communities, and does his best to create such working environment.

The Project
We are growing 10% monthly, have more than 10,000 users, and as already mentioned, are currently serving customers from more than 150+ countries around the world, either directly or via a growing network of professional partners. At the same time we're working with top security camera producers on integration of their camera streaming solution directly into customer’s camera firmware. We established relationships with numerous universities, researchers and specialized companies producing newer and more advanced computer vision algorithms and are turning them into new apps for our app-store. There are few projects going on already and we are open to create new ones.
