Analyst / (Officer) - Business Support for HRIS

This is a full time position at grade 4/5

The term of this contract will be 4 years

The EIB offers fixed-term contracts of up to a maximum of 6 years, according to business needs, with a possibility to convert to a permanent contract, subject to organisational requirements and individual performance.

Purpose

The Analyst - Business Support for Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) drives business analysis, data management and user support activities for HRIS used for core processes mainly in Personnel Directorate in order to ensure the alignment of these applications with operational needs, thereby contributing to the achievement of the operational objectives.

Operating Network

The Business Support for HRIS will report to the Head of Division. S/he will co-operate closely with other teams of the Department and will be working with the EIB Group’s HRIS users mainly in Personnel Directorate for business aspects and with IT for technical aspects, as well as Coordinations in all Directorates.

Accountabilities

  • Provide assistance (helpdesk) and business support to HRIS users
  • Register change requests in EIB’s ticketing system, follow up and document solutions
  • Perform maintenance activities and configuration changes to address requests raised by HRIS users (including access and release management)
  • Liaise with technical internal or external counterparties to ensure issue resolution
  • Review existing workflows, processes, procedures and propose improvements (when applicable)
  • Gather, document and prioritise business and technical requirements for new IT developments
  • Obtain approval on the business requirements at the appropriate level
  • Elaborate test scenarios, perform system testing and coordinate user acceptance testing
  • Propose and implement improvements to the HR processes, procedures, IT systems and working tools
  • Manage transversal projects in order to ensure the realisation of the project within the set scope, time and budget

Qualifications

  • University degree preferably in Human Resources, Information Technology or other relevant subject
  • At least 3 years relevant professional experience for the following activities in the HRIS area:
    • business analysis;
    • testing;
    • end user support;
    • issue troubleshooting;
    • access management;
    • software configuration
  • Excellent knowledge of the functionality of SAP SuccessFactors (Performance & Goals, LMS, Reporting) and/or PeopleSoft HCM (Workforce Administration, Position Management, Security & Tree Maintenance, Self-Service, Talent Acquisition Management, Candidate Gateway, Profile Management, Absence Management)

  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and a solid understanding of French (*)

In addition to this, preference will be given to candidates who meet the following requirements:

  • Experience in a system administrator role for a Software as a Service HR solution (preferably SAP SuccessFactors) having responsibilities like release management, system set-up, custom reporting
  • Experience in integrating different HRIS products (preferably PeopleSoft HCM and SuccessFactors)
  • Understanding of relational database principles and good command of SQL syntax
  • Understanding of HR processes (especially in the area of Talent Management)
  • Experience in elaborating training materials and delivering end-user training
  • Knowledge and experience of project management principles, methods and practices

(*) There may be certain flexibility on this requirement, but limited to particularly suitable candidates who may not yet be proficient in French. If selected, such candidates will be hired on the condition that they build up rapidly knowledge of French and accept that their future career in the EIB may be subject to the attainment of sufficient proficiency in both of the Bank's working languages
