Job Profile: Riverbed Wan Optimization Engineers – L3 support

ROLE OVERVIEW
Desired Experience: 7+ years of experience

Core Skills:
  • Troubleshooting & Implementation Experience in Wan optimization (Riverbed).
  • Sound understanding and experience around WAN protocols and SD WAN .
  • Sound knowledge and understanding on TCP, UDP,HTTP, HTTPS,QOS, Tunneling, encryption protocols .
  • Hands on experience in steelheads , Interceptors , Steelhead Mobility controller(SMC)(Optional) and Steelhead central controller (SCC)
  • Ability to understand the core dumps from steelheads, SMCs and analyze to resolve all types of optimization issues.
  • Understanding of core Network traffic flow and Wireshark.
  • Hands on experience in using App response for troubleshooting optimization issues.
  • Sound understanding and experience around advanced configuration parameters like QOS , dynamic path selection etc
  • Troubleshooting experience of WAN optimization problems using steel central controller or SMC.
  • Design and implementation knowledge around various steelhead placement options like in-path , out of path , QOS , dynamic path selection and optimization for DC-DR , TCP & UDP applications ,MAPI, SSL, MSSQL optimization etc .
  • Hands on administration experience in steel central controller
  • Experience in handling critical WAN optimization issues and interface with customer
Good understanding and knowledge on following areas are mandatory:
  • Steelhead Basics & how optimization functions.
  • Interceptors at cluster level and the knowledge on Connection Tracing and HAP rules.
  • Understanding of SMC and exposure to troubleshooting.
  • Auto Discovery, process, enhanced auto discovery, and arcuate difference between both of them.
  • WAN Visibility modes about correct addressing and full transparency.
  • Should have good understanding on Failure modes, Link state propagation, in path Deployments.
  • How Interceptor works and cluster mode and how traffic redirected to steelheads.
  • SCC - Upgrades, Downgrades, Policy creation and Backup to external server.
  • Good knowledge on CLI commands and On CLI Traffic capture.
  • Interceptor’s traffic load balanced on multiple interfaces.

Educational Qualification:
  • Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology / MCA (Master of Computer Applications) / Bachelor of Science / Bachelor of Communications
Certification Required:
  • Minimum CCNA CCNP preferred
  • RCSA certified.
  • RCSP certified.
  • ITSM/ITIL Process Foundation Certified
