Primary Purpose
Senior Engineer Directory Services is mainly responsible for daily management of Access technologies of CA Siteminder, CA Federated Security Services, CA Identity Manager and other services participating on the authentication infrastructure. He also has limited operational responsibility over the Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and RADIUS services. The successful candidate will provide troubleshooting and consulting support to internal business units. In addition to the daily management, the candidate will also be involved in initiatives, as (project) leader or (technical) resource in order to create and deploy new solutions, or to improve existing ones. The Senior Engineer Directory Services is part of a global team which is operating with a follow-the-sun model under the supervision of the Global Directory Services Operations team leader.

Responsibilities & Duties
• Run operations of the Directory Services infrastructure and support problem solving for directories, applications and other solutions owned by the Directory Services team, lead the problem management for recurrent or complex issues.
• Contribute to the development of Directory Services automation processes for support of daily operations and the gathering of directory performance information. As the technical expert, contribute technical idea according to the experience from daily operation.
• Support Directory Services initiatives by taking responsibility for the effective deployment and usage of assigned resources including vendor resource and ensure they are completed within planned timescales and resource estimates.
• Support the definition of administrative processes and procedures and necessary documentation. Make them understandable to others. Handle the process deployment, monitoring, maintenance and optimization.
• Manage the relationship with business and handle stakeholder communication; listen to business and bring feedback to directory service team discussion; attend business communication meeting to present directory service operation and project material; provide operation training to partners in site and business unit in accordance to the global standards.
• Provide an accurate analysis of business requirements and select the most appropriate solution to fulfill them.
• Based on personal expertise, review current Directory Services solutions and propose improvements; participate to their deployments and document them at all stages of evolution.
• Manage "crisis situations" to a satisfactory conclusion and under stress.
• Follow all set procedures and policies pertaining to the Change Management system.
• Stay abreast of the state-of-the-art through proactive involvement by making recommendations for conferences, training, and educational materials and attending same as appropriate when approved.

Key Measurable/Deliverables for the Position
• Delivery of Directory Services including service process management, vendor management, stakeholder communication management, escalation handling, project lead and so on.
• In collaboration with other global Directory Services team members, implement, manage, document and support day to day operations of the Directory Services infrastructure.

Technical Skills, Experience, and Educational Background
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent by experience.
• At least 3 to 5 years of relevant practical experience managing Authentication services, mainly CA Siteminder r6 and/or r12 in a large-scale organization.
• Knowledge of CA Federated Security Services and CA Identity Manager.
• Knowledge of IIS 6, IIS 7 and Apache 2.x web server.
• Knowledge of Websphere and HTML.
• Intermediate (at minimum) knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and RADIUS.
• Knowledge of Windows 2003/2008, as well as Microsoft client operating systems.
• Knowledge of HP-UX, ability to perform basic administration of Unix-based servers
• Experience with implementation of backup/restore and disaster and recovery strategies.
• Understanding of security concepts related to Public Key Infrastructures.
• Experience with implementation of backup/restore and disaster and recovery strategies.
• Are considered as a plus:
o Experience with Java and Javascript.
o Scripting skills in HP-UX shell.
o Understanding of vbscript and powershell.
o Experience with implementation and management of ADAM or ADLDS.
o Understanding of identity lifecycle solutions and experience with MIIS/ILM/FIM.
o Experience with using VMWare products.
o CA, Microsoft or UNIX Certifications are appreciated.
o Experience in training or education area

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, towards both technical and non-technical staff.
• Strong self-motivation to improve the processes with positive attitude to support customer’s needs.
• Believe in a pro-active approach towards problem management.
• Experience in working within a globalized environment in terms of strategy, policies and procedures
