Software test engineer - automated tests - python

The Software Test Engineer will be part of the LSMS Research and Development group. They will be responsible for testing test state-of-the-art mass spectrometry software products particularly focused on the control software for all of the flavors of Mass Spectrometers developed by the group.
- Participate in all phases of the software development from product definition to final release
- Design, execute, and maintain mainly automated test procedures for a variety of Windows OS based instrumentation software products
- Work with cross functional teams to generate requirements and develop test cases based on functional specifications and design documents
- Able to calibrate, troubleshoot and do preventative maintenance on instruments.
- Communicate project status and issues to other functional teams, stakeholders and management
Profil kandidáta
- BS/MS in Computer Science/Chemistry/Bioinformatics or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience testing software for commercial applications, preferably for instrument control software products
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of software test methodologies is a plus
- Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated technical\scientific knowledge in Life Sciences using Mass Spectrometry or similar techniques
- Preference will be given to candidates with basic programming skills and working knowledge of testing tools like Test Complete, Selenium or similar products.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to plan and execute activities with a strong sense of urgency to deliver results
