Assistant Buyer (m/f)

Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland


Your responsibilities

• In this role you will support the Senior Buyer in the planning, management and implementation of the purchasing strategy for the Czech market as well as for Slovakia and Poland
• You will assist in designing the whole product range as well as in the planning, optimization and instore presentation, both regionally and internationally for the respective countries
• Further you will participate in the coordination of supplier management
• You will conduct the development of subject-related advertising concepts
• Compilation of statistics, evaluation, analysis and presentations are key duties
• The position performs the technical and mechanical aspects of the buying role and completes functions that contribute to the Senior Buyer’s ability to achieve sales, gross margin, inventory and turnover goals for the different categories of merchandise while learning the long-range business strategy within the area of responsibility. This position reports directly to the Senior Buyer.
• You will work closely with the central buying and merchandising support team based in Vienna, in the execution of product selection, assortment planning, vendor communication, inventory productivity management and marketing of specific lines/categories to deliver and further improve profitability.

Your personality

• We are looking for a talent with high potential and first professional experience in a similar role like Purchasing, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Instore Sales etc. within the fashion business (textiles, shoes and accessories).
• Your creativity and your sense for design, product presentation and instore decoration and communication will definitely help you in performing this role and delivering outstanding results
• Strong analytical skills and focus on details, team spirit and hands-on mentality as well as assertiveness and open-mindedness are necessary
• Proficiency in use of MS Office
• Good command of German and English, both written and verbal
• Willingness to travel within the region (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and headquarters in Vienna)
