Job description, responsibilities and duties
As scientist you will be part of the research unit and you will contribute to oncology programs supporting drug discovery process. On the daily basis you will perform synthesis pathways in brand new research facility, getting more and more experience throughout laboratory work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Day-to-day regular laboratory work including the set-up of experiments, analyzing data, interpretation, and reporting of the results
• Planning and modification of synthesis pathways based on literature-patent analysis
• Conduct organic syntheses (classic and modern organic synthesis. e.g. photochemistry, microwaves, flow chemistry, enzymatic)
• Ensure the structure and purity of compounds are correct
• Write up experiment accurately
• Optimization of leading structures in research projects
• Follow health and safety guidelines and safe working practices
• Control of raw material/reagent management in the project
• Work closely with other scientific colleagues across different departments (Analytical, Biology, DMPK)
• Attend and contribute to internal and external project meetings

• Publications in scientific journals would be an asset
• Ability to work in a team and a very good organization of work
