What you’ll do:
Concur’s online booking tool delivers a service that makes life easier for business travelers. The team in Prague works to integrate the tool with some of the largest travel vendors such as Amtrak, SNCF, HRS Hotels.
You will work together with a great team of experienced and engaged developers in designing new features and re-architecting existing ones. Primarily focused on back-end/server development you will also need full-stack skills as you will often be making changes to other parts of the system.
Everyone must be constantly learning as well as sharing knowledge and best practices with others on the agile team. As a senior member of the team, you will participate in the hiring process and will mentor both new joiners and existing junior developers. Additionally, as our projects require multi-team coordination, you will cooperate with both local teams and teams in our other offices – Frankfurt, Seattle, Dallas.
And last, but certainly not least, you will help us migrate our entire product into microservices, containers and AWS.
In order to accomplish this you will:
• Take design and architecture seriously: Design things the right way – security, stability, scalability, and performance for a world-class product
• Take quality seriously: You have a strong sense of ownership and take time for tests as the team is responsible for its output
• Learn new skills: We don’t change technologies just for the sake of it, but we will use the right tools for the job such as AWS and containers
• Have DevOps mindset: Have a solid understanding of Continuous Integration and DevOps concepts (automated deployments, monitoring/alerting, etc.)

Requirements for the employee

Personality requirements and skills

What we’re looking for:
• 5+ years of commercial experience with competency in multiple languages and programming styles (functional, OOP, etc.)
• Experience of C# / Java / similar OO language and willingness to learn GoLang
• Experience with GoLang a bonus
• Experience with HTML / JavascriptExperience with relational databases
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes / container orchestration
• Knowledge of data formats (JSON, XML)
• Building services in AWS a plusWork in a DevOps environment a plus
• Anything else you can impress us with.
