We at Smart Media Star, a company that manages and cultivates a number of brands, are looking for an energetic Marketing Director to join a progressive ONLINE entertainment industry project.

Your potential future team members are excited to welcome among themselves a true team player, who is not afraid to step in and help out whenever needed. In other words, we are NOT looking for a top-down, control tower type manager, instead, you should be open to working along much more of a horizontal structure.

Your mission, should you accept it, will be overseeing and actively implementing the overall ONLINE MARKETING and brand-building strategy for a portfolio of the company’s properties. Additionally, brand-building comes with a strong emphasis on PR activities, which has proved as instrumental for getting an extensive brand and product exposure – especially in the German and US markets.

Your team will look to your expertise in developing and implementing marketing strategy, brand positioning, event management, campaign, and sales support. As Marketing Director you will be expected to lead by example and cooperate closely with a dedicated in-house team of marketers. Your shared mission will focus on pursuing an aggressive growth and sales strategy for the company.

To be successful together with your team, it is key that you have a proven ability in managing people. In addition, you should be a strategic thinker when it comes to brand positioning. If you have the passion, motivation and strong work ethic this takes, our team would love to hear from you.

Main Responsibilities:
- Create and manage marketing campaigns to drive greater awareness and adoption of the company’s products, suggest and initiate activities at the strategic level, generate innovative ideas for the global expansion of our product line
- Create and oversee external marketing communication, social media, support PR activities for product launches and program enhancements, support sales teams by preparing marketing collaterals and presentations
- Establish and coordinate offline promotions and sponsorship initiatives for industry conferences and trade events
- Cooperate with product and development teams to leverage market opportunities, and establish best practices for product launches
- Monitor industry-specific online forums, contribute idea-making and seize on new marketing opportunities

Salary information

min. 2000 EUR. the final sum will be agreed depending on candidate´s experiences and skills

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Educational Specialization

College degree; BA in Marketing or related field

Language skills

German - Upper intermediate (B2) and English - Proficiency (C2)

- Thorough understanding of the marketing channels outlined above
- Excellent communication skills; oral, written and presentation
- Ability to focus on the details while keeping an eye on the big picture
- Track record of successfully managing multiple marketing projects of varying scale and meeting deadlines and budget parameters
- Ability to remove roadblocks and get things done, both on your own and through others
- Be comfortable with changing project priorities
- Highly organized and self-directed with a strong sense of initiative
- Team player with a positive attitude
