Job description, responsibilities and duties

Role: The Test Analyst will ensure that components and solutions developed primarily by the Client development team are technically correct prior to being passed to business testing. The tester will use requirements specified by the Client technical and business staff. The technical tester may also be involved in documentation and assisting with release packaging. The candidate is required to be flexible to take up new challenges and work on different projects. He/She should show initiative and is able to work either independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team. A good candidate would come with experience in working on projects with tight deadlines.

Personality requirements and skills

Required:
• 3 years testing experience in a Financial Services/Markets environment
• Min. 3 year experience technical testing on a SQL server
• Min. 3 year experience writing technical test cases for database-driven solutions
• Knowledge of MS Office applications (especially: Excel), ideally with additionally knowledge in VBA or other advanced IT knowledge.
• Worked with a range of test tools, including HPQC, JIRA and Bugzilla
• Experienced at designing and executing manual test cases, raising and retesting defects
• Has the ability to gather information required for test cases/test scenarios when documentation is scarce
• Clear in communication
• Is comfortable dealing with people across a range of levels in an organization and in multiple global locations with different cultural backgrounds
• Fluent in English
• Team player

Good-to-have:
• Knowledge of indices would be a plus
• Experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, TOSCA or QTP) would be a plus
• German language skills would be a plus
• Business analysis and/or requirements engineering experience
• Financial services experience ideally in Equities, Bonds and/or Indices
