Job description, responsibilities and duties
- Research, analyze and draft market requirements for existing and new products by communicating with customers and sales teams, by reading other information sources and transferring these requirements into product and roadmap proposals
- Identify key capability or process gaps in current organization to develop, propose, and underwrite solar and battery storage deals
- Follow codes and certifications as they develop; analyze their impact on the market and specific products; make recommendations to management on how to leverage these developments to Product benefit.
- Product lifecycle: Manages new products/system/service launch and life cycle from phase-in to phase-out. Coordinates and supervises the product road map. Defines and oversees recovery plans as necessary.
- Profitability: Responsible for the profitability and life cycle of one product/system/ service line/group by defining product/system/service pricing guidelines and market position.
- Business development: Identify market Opportunities and market frameworks driving revenues from Product segments
- Sales support: Ensures technical and commercial support to Sales force for critical or special negotiations.
- Engineering: Works with Engineering team to propose and evaluate product feasibility projects and roadmaps for new products/system/service and variants

Personality requirements and skills
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in product management, in the energy sector or within the PV industry. Experience in PV Power Electronic, String Inverter technology, Energy Storage is must. Additional experience in PV project or PV system design
- Experience working through contracting complexities including site lease, PPA and EPC, utility interconnection agreements. Strong financial credentials and ability to work with project finance team.
- Successfully developed Utility scale and C&I solar projects/portfolios through sale lease back or partnership flip structures with current market participants.
- Intimate understanding of industry landscape and ability to identify, evaluate and onboard partners to build out the Solar/Storage ecosystem.
- Able to perform project simulation as needed in PVSys or other tools
- Experience interacting with sales and business development teams and B2B sales channels, and working experience in direct sales to commercial and industry business is a plus.
