Job description, responsibilities and duties

An opportunity exists within the Quality organisation for experienced, and self-motivated Quality & Improvement Engineers to support planning, development, maintenance, assurance and improvement of the AeroMobil management systems, products and processes.

The Quality & Improvement Engineer performs a wide range of duties to ensure optimised levels of quality, cost and delivery performance, they include:
• Supporting the development, implementation, and on-going maintenance of the AeroMobil Management System structure.
• Complete Management System and product audits for purposes of assurance and driving continuous improvement. Working with the AeroMobil team to close out any audit findings.
• Interface with regulatory and certification bodies in support of AeroMobil’s required approvals.
• Provide support for product development and NPI, working with Engineering and Operations to mature and continually improve product and process quality.
• Support Design for Manufacture and Assembly activities.
• Development and implementation of quality standards, inspection/measurement systems and processes.
• Manage internal quality issues and customer complaints in conjunction with key stakeholders, resolving day to day problems, ensuring effective containment and problem resolution for all non-conformances.
• Development and implementation of measures to provide understanding of process performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Driving continuous improvement to maximise business performance. Undertaking improvement projects, leading/coaching others in the use of improvement tools and delivery of improvement activities.
• Deliver Quality awareness & improvement training
• Provide guidance, support, and facilitation across the AeroMobil team on all matters related to Quality & Improvement.

Information about the selection process

The Quality & Improvement Engineer shall:
• Work primarily in office and production facility environments.
• Work a standard working week, but some flexibility in working hours will be expected.
• Be prepared to take up a permanent full-time work in the AeroMobil HQ in Bratislava.
• Be expected to travel domestically/internationally as required by the demands of the role.

Personality requirements and skills

Education
• Candidates should possess a Diploma/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering subject.
• Certified Quality Auditor to ISO standards.
• Lean Six Sigma qualified, Black or Green belt is an advantage.
• Member of a recognised professional body such as the Chartered Quality Institute is an advantage.

Experience
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Quality & Improvement capacity ideally within automotive, aerospace and/or composite materials manufacturing.
• Working knowledge and experience of operating in organisations managed under the requirements of regulatory standards including ISO9001, AS/EN9100, EASA Part 21(G)/145, or TS16949.

Knowledge, skills and abilities
The Quality & Improvement Engineer should demonstrate the following:
• Proven background in Quality Assurance and Improvement, having worked within and OEM or OEM supplier.
• Thorough understanding of Quality Management and improvement methods e.g. SPC, FMEA, 8D, Error Proofing, 6 Sigma.
• In depth knowledge of Quality auditing, and regulatory standards for automotive and/or aerospace.
• Good Technical Engineering knowledge, including ability to understand engineering drawing and standards.
• Proven experience of dealing with complex problem solving, driving root cause and corrective/preventative actions to conclusion.
• Ability to develop realistic work plans, set personal goals that align with company goals.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to represent the company professionally, sharing ideas and information clearly at all levels.
• The ability to communicate clearly and confidently in spoken English, and the ability to read and write complex technical documents in written English.
