JOB DESCRIPTION
Amazon Tax is seeking a Tax Analyst to join the Commercial Transaction team for the Bratislava office. The Commercial Transaction team analyzes the cost and tax risk associated with the execution and performance of all of Amazon contracts worldwide. The team:
· Summarizes, reviews and approves individual contracts as well as provides tax pre-approval guidance to the business and legal teams
· Leverages technical solutions in order to scale the ever increasing and diversifying demands of Amazon's global business model
· Provides a bridge between its colleagues in Tax who are business-facing and the attorneys in Amazon Legal who negotiate contracts with counterparties large and small all over the world
The ideal candidate will be able to work with a high level of collegiality and be comfortable with liaising with various business and legal teams, in addition to members of the tax department. This position offers an excellent opportunity to join one of the largest, most sophisticated, most challenging, and best corporate tax departments in the world.

Salary information

Base pay for this position starts from EUR 2191 gross per month and salary depends on the skills and requirements, there will be further pay components such as a sign on bonus and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. Company benefits apply subject to further terms, including annual membership in medical clinic, life insurance, retirement pension, meal voucher card, career development.

Personality requirements and skills

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· A degree in law
· Member in good standing of a bar association
· 2+ years of professional experience with a focus on Corporate or International Tax

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Chartered accountant (or equivalent) or graduate degree in taxation preferred
· Law journal experience
· Judicial clerkship experience
· Experience at a Big 4 accounting firm
· Experience in a law firm's tax department, specifically in contracts
· Excellent English skills in writing, communication, and organizational skills
· Ability to work independently while managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously
