Amazon seeks a Finance Manager to play a key role in Finance Operations Accounting and Analysis out of Bratislava.
In this role you will partner closely with the EU directors of Finance Operations and their leadership team on a European level. This is an exciting opportunity to drive business critical analysis for Amazon’s Accounts Payables focusing on retail business. On top of this you will support international projects to launch new business and offer accounting consulting. Your expertise in accounting analysis will provide important intelligence to review financial statements and develop new scalable business launches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report on the financial and business performance of Accounts Payables for retail, corporate and transportation business
- Manage and lead internal balance sheet reviews with EU Senior Leadership
- Support moth end closing and provide balance sheet analytics for Accounts Payables accounts on EU level. Investigate and research any peculiar transactions and provide internal reporting.
- Manage the analysis and testing of accounting transactions for new business or tool launches
- Collaborate directly with offshore reconciliation teams and work on process improvements
- Act as a liaison between Finance Operations and EU Central Accounting

- Experience with understanding complex process flows and driving process improvements
- Experience in writing of accounting documents and balance sheet commentary
- You are highly analytical, detailed oriented, and enjoy developing new business reports
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Strong presentation skills and the ability to guide and influence senior leadership
