DESCRIPTION
Amazon Finance Operations is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader to support our continued EU expansion. We’re not an average retailer and this is definitely not your average finance position. We’ll give you the opportunity to really make a difference to our business by working on and initiating projects in a fast-paced environment and ultimately delivering results.

The successful candidate will have a strong desire in continuous improvement, process standardization and exceed expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, primarily driving innovation on behalf of customers / vendors.

The biggest focus area is Accounts Payable within our customer relationships with emphasis on financial transactions and on invoices, credits, debit-notes compliance.
The successful candidate would manage our operations across EU reporting to local AP manager but cooperating with a broad management team across the globe.

Main business areas:

· Accounts Payable
· Contact management (managing customer questions and complaints through our online tools)
· Creation and management of our KPI’s
· Executive metrics reporting

People Management:
Leading and developing a team of financial analysts, including hiring, training, and employee development; managing group workload and establishing priorities; ensuring existing policies and procedures are followed; managing annual performance targets; creating and monitoring appropriate performance metrics. This position will also act as an escalation point in resolving complex outstanding issues with internal and external business partners.

Project Management:
Solving complex customer/vendor issues and proactively heading off negative service trends. Understanding and correctly utilizing resources provided by internal systems, departments, policies, and procedures. Development, analysis and improvement of new strategies and procedures. The successful candidate will have the ability to develop, plan, and implement short and long-range goals. Developing and achieving performance goals and objectives in order to achieve vendor promise expectations

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) and Polish - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 1+ years of experience in managing team within Finance
· Fluent in English and Polish
· At least B2 in other language
· Proven track record of managing people (5+)
· Sound knowledge of accounts payables regulations and procedures
· A strong passion for hiring and developing people
· Experience with dealing in international markets
· Proficiency using Excel





PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Advanced MS Office, especially MS Excel knowledge
· SQL knowledge is of advantage
· Proven track record from operations, financial background
· Excellent interpersonal and executive presence skills, including a proven ability to develop and maintain relationships both inside and outside the organization
· Self-organized and motivated team player with a demonstrated ability to achieve objectives
