Our multicultural Payroll team is seeking an Senior Payroll Analyst DACH to join our Payroll Operations Team. We are looking for a strong leader that will take the ownership and drive the change in our growing payroll hub in Prague.

This individual must be eager to dive deep into processes and have proven record of delivering process efficiency results. The preferred candidate must have EMEA payroll process and payroll system knowledge, ability to abstract requirements independently and customer service passion.

As our Sr. Payroll Analyst DACH, you will be responsible to:

· Be a subject matter expert in projects to drive payroll improvements for one country or group of small to medium size countries
· Be a subject matter expert in expansions projects
· Maintain the operational effectiveness of payroll process from the start to the end
· Collaborate with other leaders to build a culture of balances and checks within the Payroll Operations Team to maintain and efficient and effective audit process
· Collaborate in efforts to evaluate and redesign Payroll processes to align with the company’s rapid grown and commitment to quality
· Collaborate with teams across IT, HR, Finance and Accounting to ensure that best practices are followed and implemented
· Gathering and validating data from HR, HR Services, Compensation & Benefits, Stock and Global Mobility teams for the payroll calculations
· Performing series of payroll controls and analyses including comparison of input data with output data
· Cooperating with the HR Services team on employee payslip queries, legislative updates and country-specific queries
· Executing post-payroll activities by reporting to local authorities and finance teams


Base pay for this position starts from EUR 2,200 gross per month and salary depends on the skills and requirements, there will be further pay components such as a sign on bonus and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. Company benefits apply subject to further terms, including annual membership in medical clinic, life insurance, retirement pension, meal voucher card, career development.

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) and German - Upper intermediate (B2)

Microsoft Excel - Advanced

· 5+ years of experience in EMEA Payroll processes & system seep controllership / statutory compliance knowledge (tax, labour code, social security, garnishments, pension, benefits, terminations)
· Deep controllership / statutory compliance knowledge (tax, labour code, social security, garnishments, pension, benefits, terminations)
· Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast-paced environment
· Strong analytical and statistical skills
· Proficient in obtaining, organizing, and analyzing data to make fact-based decisions and drive
· Root cause analysis
· English + German language on advanced level

Preferred qualifications:
· knowledge of personal income tax legislation, labor law
· familiar with SAP, Peoplesoft, Workday, ADP software
· Experience in leading projects
· Team focused with particular ability to work across virtual teams
· sense of innovation
