Business Analyst

Global AR, Data Analytics (GARDA) team informs decisions in one of the largest Accounts Receivable operations at present. The Business Analyst is one of the key roles on the team, owning analytics in established business channels, processes and geographies. Intensive learning and business contribution are on the agenda from the very first day. The role holder will explore and discover as yet unknown facts, trends and insights, thereby (pro)actively influencing Amazon AR's success. The position interacts with our global, senior leadership and with high performing global teams. Besides global tasks, the position will strongly support our prestigious Bratislava SSCs.

A day in the life
· Design metrics and measurements that adequately measure process and business performance
· Translate business problems into data problems; define data requirements; drive implementation by the data engineering team
· Build high-impact Tableau dashboards for visualisation
· Automate and continuously improve recurring reports – e.g. monthly business review – for global leadership
· Query data from various sources (databases) using SQL
· Analyze data to identify patterns, root causes and business opportunities
· Support leadership in decision making by data-driven, ad-hoc analyses
· Continuously engage with our global leadership, stakeholders and tech teams e.g. in USA, India

The Business Analyst will drive the reporting and analytics agenda for some of our largest business areas, such as AWS and Retail; and produce reports and analyses for leadership decision making. The role will structure high-level business problems into distinct pieces of analysis; obtain the required data; produce 'actuals' metrics; and provide forward-looking recommendations. The role will provide leadership to IT teams towards reporting automation, as well as driving data governance and standardization.
