About this job:

Your main responsibilities would be:

  • Driving financial close and preparation of accurate financials working closely with Global Business Services (internal /BPO)
  • Overseeing and being accountable for financial statements and group reporting requirements.
  • Ensuring process for collecting relevant information and generating journal requests and supporting documentation is in place (e.g. Prepayments, Accruals, Reclassification); and ensure this is correctly posted by Finance SSC/ BPO.
  • Reviewing and signing-off of various accounts, reconciliations, intercompany recharges and work which is performed by Global Business Services.
  • Supporting business partners on complex transaction accounting (rebates, provisions);
  • Responsible for computing or reviewing various provisions (Inventory, doubtful debts etc.) and journals;
  • Supporting transactional queries which cannot be resolved by SSC/ BPO
  • Driving audit activity and preparation of fiscal and statutory reports.
  • Maintaining supporting evidence of control operation for audit purposes.
  • Managing tax audits and any transfer pricing related topics.
  • Conducting impact assessment and manage implementation of any changes in IFRS, and provide relevant accounting treatment guidance, developing position papers collaborating with group / regional reporting team, the business and external auditors
  • Preparing reports and analysis to support tax filings. Coordinate with EMEA tax department to ensure compliance to regulations/ standards. Manage transfer pricing / intercompany recharges / Supply price adjustment processes within the Affiliate
  • Being the key contact point for external auditors in review of quarterly closings, documentation for accounting procedures and accruals

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Solid knowledge of accounting and internal control standards in an international and intercultural organization
  • Leadership experience combined with teamwork and partnering behaviours
  • Solid knowledge of local taxes
  • Solid experience with ERP systems and reporting tools
  • Experienced communication skills with various management levels
  • Solid financial analysis skills
  • Experienced organizational and project management skills
  • Fluency in English and Czech or Slovak in speaking and writing

Education/Qualifications:

  • University degree, ideally in finance or accounting
  • ACA / or ACCA / or CPA and / or equivalent accounting qualification is a plus
