Development Engineer Hardware f/m/d

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop the overall system architecture for power electronics including specifying and integrating the AC/DC converter, galvanic isolation, and DC/DC converters
• Develop circuits and designs for all aspects of cell testing and ripple emulation topics
• Lead any circuit designs and specify design parameters, test procedures, manufacturing documentation, calibration activities, certification protocols, etc. to complete the product development
• Follow the AVL design & engineering guidelines and follow relevant electrical norms for all work
• Ability to work in a structured and responsible way completing goals and targets in time
• Support the common designs and part utilization for products to reduce costs and purchasing and service efforts in AVL
• Work can/shall include utilizing a global team of electrical engineers to complete tasks.
• Support the documentation of all product designs with reviews and quality checks.
• Be able to perform component search for primary and alternate components for designs
• Be able design to best cost methodologies

YOUR PROFILE

• Graduate of electrical engineering or similar (HTL, FH,TU)
• Knowledge or experience of electrical design, documentation, & certification of systems with 5+ years of design experience.
• Must be able to read and analyze electrical schematics, system block diagrams, define SW and HW interfaces to internal and external connections
• Intense knowledge of all kinds of sensor technologies such as temperature, voltage, pressure, current, etc.
• Good written and spoken communication skills in English required, German a plus
• Battery cell testing experience a plus
• Knowledge of EMC, grounding and shielding techniques, electrical noise troubleshooting a plus
