Technical Expert OBD Systemintegration m/f/d

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Development of OBD control unit architecture and layout for the entire vehicle, both passenger cars and heavy-duty applications
• Definition of OBD requirements on system level based on the latest regulations
• Coordinating and supporting all departments and technical fields (combustion engine, transmission, chassis, e-drive, etc.) in the OBD-relevance assessment of their components and systems
• Taking the responsibility for the OBD system integration throughout the entire vehicle (cross-function over all departments and technical fields, release of system tests (e.g.: pre-PVE), checking certification documents, technical supervision, etc.)
• Interpretation and processing of OBD regulations and standards together with the specific legislation departments
• Know how transfer and execution of trainings
• Tool, process and methodology development
• Participation in conventions and preparation of publications
• Acquisition support, preparing, presentation and technical negotiation of offers with our customers

YOUR PROFILE

• Technical University mechanical or electrical engineering, or similar education Minimum 5 years experience in the OBD development (calibration, certification, system development, etc.)
• Leadership experience
• Experience in more than one technical field of the vehicle development or of powertrain development (e.g. combustion engine, chassis development, E/E, e-drive development, etc.), also without OBD background, is preferred
• Flexibility, cross system thinking and acting
• Team minded, reliable, accurate, structured and scientific oriented working style
• Interested in travelling
• Excellent communication skills, authority
• Fluent in German and English
