What would be your main responsibilities?

You would be responsible for the overview of the financial accounting and reconciliation process for certain countries in the European region. Primarily responsible for the technical IFRS accounting for certain countries in the European region. This includes an overview of accounting, month-end processes, balance sheet reconciliations, management/cost accounting, and data collection for various purposes.

  • Reviews and monitors in detail overheads postings and balances per individual accounts and cost centers. Calculates and posts missing accruals or corrections.
  • Ensures compliance with European month-end deadlines and timely completion of all deliverables. Assures the compliance with IFRS/Brambles reporting manual.
  • Reviews and monitors the consistency of accounting entries in relevant entities including clearing of open items, proper calculations and G/L accounts used.
  • Reviews reconciliations prepared by outsourced partner. Ensures timely completion and quality of all reconciliations. Ensures that reconciliation differences and problematic items are resolved in accordance with reconciliation policy.
  • Regularly reviews open balance sheet items for relevant entities. Ensures that old items are followed up and resolved.
  • Prepares regular and ad-hoc analysis required from other Finance functions

Your profile:

  • Bachelor or Post Graduate degree in Accounting or relevant
  • 3 years of experience in accounting
  • Previous experience in working with a regional finance team associated with geographically diverse businesses desirable
  • Fluency English
