Job description, responsibilities and duties

Danube Shipping sro is employing Accountant
The position’s responsibilities include:

• Invoice issuance and verification of correctness of incoming invoices
• Record daily account payable/receivable and other transactions
• Management/Reporting of Daily Cashflow and Credit control
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for multiple companies, multiple currencies
• Investigate & address balance sheet reconciling items/aged items, identify action items and owners on a timely basis/ General Ledger Maintenance
• Statutory reporting
• VAT declaration, other taxes & fiscal declaration required
• Improve and automate existing processes
• Assist external partners with any inquiries regarding invoicing and payments
• Assist with Payroll preparation
• General knowledge of Slovak Labour law
• Keeping in good order documentation and Employee contracts

Personality requirements and skills

The role is open for candidates with : Experience Omega and Olymp accounting and payroll systems, Microsoft Dynamics 365 systems is an advantage.
Graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree / Professional degree in Finance or Accounting or equal,
Solid accounting background, with a proven 5+ years of experience in a similar position

Excellent organisational skills - able to manage different priorities & deal with conflicting demands of job.
Ability to work accurately & efficiently to deadlines. Great Attention to detail.
Ability to communicate issues and solutions and deal with people.
Used to working in small team.
Professional level verbal and written communications skills in English language.
