Database Engineer MSSQL

The Role of a Database Engineer is to run, maintain and improve the SQL Server based database infrastructure at bwin.party.

Your Arena:
Maintain SQL Server infrastructure in daily operations
Plan improvements to the infrastructure
Test new technologies
Implement system automation
Suggest possible system improvements based on daily operation experience
Support developers during testing
Analyse performance problems and come up with improvements
Participate in 24x7 stand duty rotation

Your Entrance Ticket:
Practical experience in planning and running SQL Server environments (MS SQL Server 2014 or later)
Experience in scripting technologies, especially T-SQL
Know How about relational database design and performance considerations
Knowledge of SQL performance analysis and tuning
Fluent in German and English

Would be a Plus:
Basic understanding of other database technologies (e.g. Oracle, MySQL, DB/2, etc.)
Knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure technologies (e.g. Windows Server, Internet Information Server, SharePoint, etc.)
Experience in software development, preferably in C#
