Job description, responsibilities and duties

  • Develops and maintains lean transformation plan including value stream maps to identify key opportunities to eliminate waste and improve performance based on strategy deployment and business results.
  • Leads, plans, perform and implements process improvement initiatives.
  •  Coaches and mentors leadership toward a continuous improvement culture that fosters daily improvement involving all team members. Tracks progress of Lean Coordinators on their plant specific lean plans and empower team members to implement solutions.
  • Creates annual strategy deployment plans with Lean Coordinators, their staff and the Director of Operations.  Prioritizes improvement opportunities based upon Strategy Deployment and tactical planning objectives such as growth, service, safety, quality, cost, and 
  • Supports operations and office group to establish and maintain standard work and continuous flow in all areas, including 5S and visual management.                                                   
  • Leads and administers the ideas program and cost savings projects. Manage the implementation of planned projects. Estimate cost savings on production projects
  • Performs cost and benefit analyses.
  •  Leads a small team

Personality requirements and skills

  • The candidate should have undergone significant lean manufacturing training such as six sigma black belt or in-house production system training of large corporations 
  • Knowledge and experience of the local industry and supply chain preferred, and familiarity with automotive/aerospace standards, such as AS9100.
  • Strong experience with the use of ERP and MES systems and their systematic use by operators on the shop floor.
  • Independent, self-starter and highly structured in his/her approach to problem solving and planning, with a strong focus on product quality as well as driving efficiencies and optimizing standard times.
  • The ideal candidate shall demonstrate exceptional communication skills in Slovak and English, Hungarian strong advantage. A high focus is given to the cultural fit of the candidate to the company, its high-growth ambition, intention of international expansion and aim for strong personal and technical development
