​Located in the heart of Maarssen, Café 'het Schippertje' is the oldest pub in the village, located on Schippersgracht 5 with a picturesque view of the Vecht river.

Our pub welcomes locals, groups seeking private parties, and travelers mooring their boats for a stay during summer time.

As new owners of the pub we reopen with a kitchen to serve pub food classics and snacks created with premium ingredients.

Our small menu offers favorites and rotating weekly specials, and catering options for group events.

We work with up-to-date restaurant and kitchen software.

​We Are Seeking: An Experienced and Innovative Cook​

We invite a talented and experienced cook to join our team.

You are responsible to create a menu, bringing creativity to our menu, managing supply orders and teaching kitchen assistants, and become a joyous part of our team!

In our region are many stores and markets offering the best quality meat, fresh seafood, vegetables and spices to inspire your creativity.

Living

We offer an large apartment apartment above the pub which is an opportunity for couples. The partner is welcome to join the team as well as cook assistant or other work in the pub, but is free to find another opportunity in the region. 

Maarssen is located in one of the nicest areas in the Netherlands and only15 minutes from Utrecht, 30 minutes from Amsterdam and 45 minutes to the beach.

Please note that on Friday and Saturday evenings music may be heard in the apartment up to 4 o'clock.

One of the owners has a Slovak background and there are Slovak and Czech people in Maarssen to catch up with.
