Cambridge Assessment English is currently recruiting a Business Development Manager Czech Republic and Slovakia based in Prague to lead the business development and marketing activities for Cambridge English exams and other educational products in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia. These are fast growing market and represent an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to ensure that we fully exploit the market potential in key segments. The Development Manager Czech Republic and Slovakia will work as part of an extended team within our Europe and North Africa region.

What you’ll be doing
• Carry out key business development activities including promotion of new and existing products. Meet with end user customers, update CRM, work with Channel Partners, organise and deliver promotional presentations, report new business opportunities and provide market intelligence
• Support the European Marketing Manager to prepare and implement marketing activities in the territory, work with the Recognition Manager to gain and maintain maximum recognition in country, support Customer Services to ensure the distribution networks are fit-for-purpose
• Assist senior management in drawing up territory marketing and operational plans. Monitor implementation, carry out ROI analysis and suggest ways to realign marketing and operational plans
• Support Regional Strategic Head to develop relationships with key stakeholders in both Czech Republic and Slovakia, including institutions, exam centres and governments. Develop and maintain specialist knowledge about our markets, education, assessment and the wider-educational landscape.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Europe & North Africa region, the Global Network and Cambridge UK.

Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential as well as the ability to think strategically and to develop on-going relationships with stakeholders.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Personality requirements and skills

You need C2 proficiency in Czech and to possess an in-depth knowledge of the educational system in the Czech Republic.
Proficiency in English at minimum C1 is required.
You will be experienced in working in a business development environment and have a track record of achieving business targets.
You must be eligible to work in the Czech Republic.
Experience of marketing is desirable, as is knowledge of Cambridge Assessment English products and services, the Slovakian educational system and working with a CRM system.
