Job description, responsibilities and duties
We are looking for a talented and forward-thinking engineer who possesses extensive knowledge in Braking and/or Brake-by-Wire (BbW) systems. Your primary duties will involve the design, implementation, and fine-tuning of sophisticated control strategies for cutting-edge braking systems.The perfect candidate will have a strong grasp and a keen interest in the modeling of Braking and/or BbW control strategies, particularly for highly automated vehicles. This includes a focus on stability and safety control associated with Braking and/or BbW systems. In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse team and engage with our international research and development network. You will be at the forefront of exploring future trends in technology, architecture, and requirements related to Vehicle Braking Technologies.
Your Role
Design and refine features of braking systems.
Perform vehicle - level testing and calibration to ensure braking efficiency, vehicle stability, and system durability.
Employ tools such as Vector tools (Canape, Canoe), dSpace, Matlab-Simulink, C++ programming, VBox, and NCode to model and assess system performance.
Assist in ensuring compliance with functional safety standards (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity requirements for BbW systems.
Your Qualifications
A Master’s degree or higher in Automotive Engineering, Control Systems, or a related discipline, with a specialization in braking systems.
Over 3 years of experience in designing control systems for Braking and/or BbW or other chassis-related systems.
Demonstrated expertise in tuning longitudinal and lateral slip controllers within braking and stability subsystems.
