WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
- At least 2y experience in web-focused backend and/or DevOps engineering
- Familiarity w/ the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) -- we use App Engine and Cloud Functions but if you're familar w/ AWS Elastic Beanstalk and Lambda instead, you're good to go
- Fluent English and conversational German (we work in English but anything less than B1 will be to your practical disadvantage)
- Practical experience with log processing, error reporting, CI/CD, Bitbucket pipelines, Snyk, Slack integrations, JIRA automation, REST, Git, Python, Java
WHAT YOUR ROLE WILL BE
- Continuously advance our GCP cloud infrastructure in terms of performance, stability, security, and scalability
- Form concrete service level objectives (SLOs) together with our software engineers
- Establish monitoring of service level indicators to meet previously set SLOs
- Establish alerting rules based on the SLOs
- Provide feedback to the software engineers (e.g. via PR reviews) to improve the overall software architecture and data processing capabilities in accordance with SRE best practices
