Junior Backend Engineer / Remote / Full Time

TL;DR
- Full Time - 38.5h / week
- Remote + Vienna, AT (1d/week)
- €3,300+ Brutto, plus 13th & 14th salary

If you're proficient in English and Java, we're looking for you!

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

- 2y+ experience in web-focused backend development
- Competence in Java 8/11
- Familiarity w/ the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) -- we mostly use App Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL and BigQuery but if you're familar w/ AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Lambda, RDS and Redshift instead, you're good to go
- Fluent English and conversational German (we work in English but anything less than B1 will be to your practical disadvantage)
- Hands-on experience with database design, data engineering, and scaling software

WHAT YOUR ROLE WILL BE

- Increase the stability and performance of our SaaS's Java 11 backend
- Make our data pipelines more stable and scalable
- Be a part of our agile dev team (~10 people) and consistently achieve sprint goals
