Job description, responsibilities and duties


Flow Govt bonds mark-to market trading (CZK, CEE, core rates) to provide liquidity to local and international clients. Trading includes, but not limited to Govt bonds, bond futures, interest rate swaps, basis swaps, x-ccy swaps, repo and FX forwards. Achieving annual revenue targets.


- Interfacing with sales, structuring, operations, and management, local and international. Willing to travel.
- Evaluating incoming trades quickly, disseminate pricing, and make prompt hedging decisions
- Understanding and addressing the evolving dynamics of a large portfolio of trades and their hedges through trading
- Establishing and maintaining a leading bond trading position in CZGB (among top 5 CZGB primary dealers).
- To remain current on economic and market conditions and developments.
- Provide insight into market activity and disseminate market intelligence and flow information according to existing Citi rules and practices
- Work alongside Legal, Compliance, and Operations groups to evaluate documentation terms and enact proper trade capture
- To be familiar and strictly to adhere to the ICG Trading Desk Mandate (FXLM EMEA) and FXLM Sales and Trading Manual.
- To be familiar and use appropriately all relevant to his job Citi internal trading and risk management systems (eDealer, Velocity, Cimpliciti, FXLM Connect, etc.)
- To adhere strictly to all Citi compliance, legal, legal vehicle and regulatory related policies and procedures (local, CEP, global).
- To adhere strictly to all position limits, management action triggers and risk management limits structure
- To escalate early any inappropriate behavior to management, legal, compliance or higher independent functions. Ethical attitude and behavior is paramount.
- To pass on time all internal mandatory trainings related to conduct risk, Volcker Rule, Dodd Frank, best execution, Global FXLM FX Fixing Procedures and all others

University education (Master's degree)

Personality requirements and skills

- University (Masters) degree in Mathematics, Business, Finance, Economics or a related field.
- Further degrees or professional qualifications (Ph.D., CFA, MBA) are advantageous.


- Fundamental competence with basic interest rates / fixed income concepts
- Strong quantitative skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency are vital
- Programming and scripting skills are preferred, experience in software development is a plus
- Financial Math aptitude.
- Familiarity and/or experience with the current derivatives regulatory environment.
- Ability to detect and resolve any discrepancies in trades is a must and the ability to work with the Middle Office / Back Office Depts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound judgment, ability to make independent decisions in pressure situations and work within strict deadlines, flexibility


- Al least 2 years experience in relevant field with international bank or asset manager
