Outside Sales Representative (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities:
  • Handle customers (forwarders and direct customers) in the Czech Republic and Slovakia
  • Identify, prioritize and pursue new business opportunities to feed the sales pipeline constantly, reflected in sales / marketing planning
  • Engage, manage and develop APL’s customer portfolio of high-touch and medium-touch customers as defined by customer segmentation and in line with company goals and directives
  • Provide evaluation of business opportunities fitting the strategy
  • Serve customers to meet their shipping needs and to secure optimal support in terms of revenues, volumes and profitability, incl. soliciting maximum profitable business from existing, lost and new customers
  • Achieve set sales budgets and targets
  • Manage existing accounts and negotiations primarily through physical sales visits, but also through phone calls and written communication
  • Ensure efforts are optimized for the right value customers, both current and prospects
  • Negotiate rates that are favourable to both APL and customers
  • Perform market intelligence and external lead generation activities
  • Execute stakeholder management within APL
  • Plan weekly sales itinerary and update sales call and visits as well as results through CRM
  • Plan contract negotiations proactively and align pricing strategy with Trades
  • Handle and accomplish goals on project basis as assigned by Management, Country Head of Commercial and Head of Sales or Sales Manager
