Job description, responsibilities and duties
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate will have excellent leadership skills and the ability to put together a talented, efficient team. He or she will report directly to our Chief Operating Officer, and he/she will be responsible for meeting targets that are discussed with our COO monthly and quarterly. We’re interested in improving our speed, efficiency and resource use to increase our company’s overall revenue and provide more reliable service for our customers.
MAIN DUTIES
Responsible for the following tasks:
• Design or implement supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies.
• Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, engineering, and quality assurance, to identify or qualify new suppliers.
• Review or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.
• Monitor local supply chain organizations’ performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
• Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.
• Select transportation routes to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution.
• Negotiate prices and terms with freight forwarders.
• Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service.

• 7+ years’ experience in supply chain management in a leadership role in a global international context
• Familiarity with safety and procedural best practices in SCM
• Experience with ERP programs (enterprise level preferred); proficient user of ERP programs, MS Office and other relevant tools
• Ability to lead, train and mentor employees on a personal level
• Languages: English (level C1 or higher) is a Must; any other language (e.g. Spanish…) is considered an advantage
• Some travelling (max 5 days per trip) is required
• Familiarity with safety and procedural best practices in SCM
