Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer (m/f/d), ready to hit the ground running in one of our small and agile product teams. You would be joining the clinical decision support team for our market-leading hospital information system ORBIS.

Hospital information systems accumulate large amounts of data every day. Our clinical decision support team creates tools that help other product teams and advanced users in the field to provide useful information at the point of care. We are laying the foundations to enable the transition from simply capturing data to understanding it and providing actionable information.

Your responsibilities:
- Develop, test and maintain our clinical decision support Tools
- Contribute to the design and architecture of the next generation solution
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the way we work in the team

Personality requirements and skills

Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar technical field
- 8+ years of software development experience
- Willingness to tackle complex and challenging legacy systems
- Professional proficiency (written and verbal) in English

Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in computer science or similar technical field
- Experience with Enterprise Java architecture and patterns
- Experience with scripting languages or frontend frameworks
- Experience with microservice architecture and infrastructure
- Interest in domain-specific languages
- German skills (intermediate upwards) are a bonus!
