Our client is a medium-sized FMCG production company with well-known brands established worldwide. As a company with a long tradition in the luxury goods sector, our client runs an organisation that extends from the international purchasing of raw materials to distribution to the retail trade in currently over 120 countries. The organisation is characterised by its long-term approach, closeness to the market and its willingness to use innovation to continuously capture new market shares also on the international stage.

Your tasks:

  • Overarching production responsibility for externally awarded production orders with the aim of delivering good quality on time and on budget
  • Short and long-term planning as well as control of external production incl. on site
  • Reviewing of external production orders in conjunction with sales and distribution team
  • Identifying, managing and controlling project risks and opportunities as well as order results and ongoing improvement plans
  • Responsible for quality assurance and improvement
  • Implementation of process optimisation
  • Best practice procedures
  • Supervision of licenses
  • Further training of staff/managers in external production facilities for quality assurance
  • Regular reporting to management
  • Interface between internal departments and external production operations
  • Improving cost-effectiveness: monitoring costs with the support of the finance and project controller
  • Regular worldwide travel

Your skills:

  • Degree in industrial engineering, business administration or production-related training with managerial experience
  • In-depth knowledge of production processes ideally from the tobacco industry or a similar industrial area
  • High willingness to travel
  • Knowledge of quality assurance as well as experience of international production
  • Secure in contract management
  • Well-developed technical grasp
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with managerial strength
  • Confident demeanour, pragmatic and assertive
  • Process-oriented, target-driven and service-minded
  • Hands-on character
  • Strengths in coordination and planning ability
  • Commitment, motivation and flexibility
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office package
  • Knowledge of ERP, ideally Navision
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, knowledge of further foreign languages is a n advantage
