Our client, an American professional services firm helping companies minimize compliance risk in the areas of data protection, privacy and cyber security law. Currently they are searching for an experienced IT and web administrator who can support their internal IT systems and public-facing websites. This role combines leading the internal IT function of the company, with a minority of time spent on web development for the company.

The company consists of a fully remote international team, (team members are located in the U.S., South Africa, Europe and Asia) but they collaborate closely (i.e., you won’t feel like you’re working in isolation). The successful candidate will also directly support the day-to-day initiatives and long-term strategies of the company president. As with the other team members your role will also be fully remote.

Typical day/week snapshot of the IT and Web Administrator:

• Ensure availability/uptime of company web properties and respond to any outages
• Execute maintenance to ensure security of company IT systems
• Test websites to ensure proper, quality operation
• Develop and thoroughly test new webpages, websites, and web apps, using WordPress and PHP frameworks like Symfony
• Continuously audit websites to proactively identify improvements to make in page speed and on-page SEO ranking factors
• Manage business IT systems, including GSuite domain
• Respond to IT-related questions and requests from internal team members, and external clients
• Develop and document policies and procedures within the IT domain, particularly IT security
