Job description, responsibilities and duties
An I.T. Engineer at FalconStor works with a wide range of modern technologies, with a particular emphasis on cloud-based systems. The successful candidate will be a part of the Information Technology Team supporting Global Operations, and charged with I.T. administration, systems configuration and internal user support. Candidate should have the desire and aptitude to execute on a wide range of challenging technology projects. Technology certifications preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
Solving interesting and complex technical problems;
MS Windows Active Directory and Network administration;
MS Office 365 administration;
Infrastructure administration (Amazon AWS, VMware vCloud, VMware vSphere);
Basic networking skills; VPN and FTP support;
Basic Linux and UNIX administration;
Administration of development/QA applications (Jira, Bugzilla, etc.);
Cloud-based application administration, including Zendesk and Symantec AV;
Working on daily I.T. Helpdesk requests

English - Proficiency (C2)
Personality requirements and skills
BS Degree with at least 3 years of experience in I.T. Administration or Development Operations
Proactive personality - we expect suggestions how to improve our systems and processes
English - have great communication skills, both written and spoken
Strong Microsoft Windows Active Directory management and troubleshooting skills
Microsoft Windows Server and Linux administration and troubleshooting skills
Experience managing and troubleshooting Amazon Web Services (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS)
Work 40 hours/week, primarily between 9am and 6pm in US Eastern time
Ability to follow defined processes and document new ones
Able to thrive an environment of continuous improvement in systems and processes
Have a personal PC (desktop or laptop) with a headset (if work from home)
