Job description, responsibilities and duties
The Resident Engineer is a representative and technical contact of the key customer that he is appointed for. The Resident Engineer gives technical support and advice to the respective key customer with respect to new projects. He supports the customer at its location in answering all relevant questions with regard to existing or new (to be developed) fasteners and pressed parts. He has a good communication with regard to sales, technical support with the e respective key customer as well as with the Key Account Manager in order to create, maintain, strengthen and grow profitable business relationships.
- Commercial acquisition
- Proactive discussion about business potentials
- Regular technical presentations to generate interest, cross selling
- Customer relationship management and communication
- Support idea generation and searching for product and process innovation.
- Technical acquisition: entire process, focus on customer contact, description of customer
needs, check for cross selling, propose product which can be produced.
- Advanced acquisition, focus on pre-phase: present advanced products and technologies at customer and create high technical acceptance at customer
