As the largest US direct marketer of international travel, adventure and discovery for North Americans aged 50-plus. To support this program we are looking for a new colleague to be based in the region to ensure we hire and optimize the very best staff to look after our passengers:

Ship Human Resources Manager

The successful candidate will be mainly responsible for:

• Supervises Human Resources staff to ensure all functions and duties are carried
out in an effective and productive manner
• Research and evaluate data on statutory requirements in each jurisdiction where
ships operate to ensure full compliance of internal practices, payroll, and
immigration requirements and personnel records
• Analyze competitors’ compensation and benefit packages and make
recommendations to improve crew recruitment and retention.
• Manage & evaluates development and effectiveness of each individual in the Fleet
HR team
• Facilitates a culture of commitment to the company’s values, standards, operating
philosophies, and overall business strategy within the HR department/ships
• Assists as a strategic partner to the Hospitality, Nautical/Technical and Financial
Leadership by providing human resources direction and guidance on all ship crew
related issues
• Develop/manage recruitment to enable management to make informed decisions
• Ensures that all HR related cost are maintained within budget targets, updating
budget grids with accurate information
• Ensures all paperwork is properly followed up to prevent any legal exposure
• Maintains regular communication with crew and ship staff
• Provides 24/7 support



The selected candidate should possess:

• Demonstration of company values, particularly open and courageous
communication and risk taking
• 3+ years of job-related experience, preferably within the cruise industry
• Degree in management with HR concentration preferred
• Full proficiency in verbal and written English a must
• Proficient in Microsoft office tools
• Strong analytical skills
• Proven effectiveness communicating across cultures
• Willingness to travel
